Every summer I serve as the Technical Director for UASSP.

The goal of UASSP is to connect South Texas students to UAS technology, capitalizing on the buzz surrounding this cutting edge industry and placing South Texas students at the forefront of this field. UASSP is designed to give high-school students hands-on experience with UAS equipment and software. The objectives are to offer our students an introduction to:

  1. UAS engineering concepts and applications.

  2. Sensors and sensing techniques.

  3. Flight Controllers, Robot Operating System (ROS), and OpenCV software.

  4. Design, assembly, and operation of a home-made UAS platform.
